Notice of the right to postpone the payment of the water bill to those entitled due to the security situation

Due to the security situation that affects the activity of the economy, the Knesset of Israel enacted the Law on Postponement of Deadlines, Temporary Orders, Iron Swords (Contract, Judgment or Payment to the Authority), the TSFAD.

The law refers to the period from October 7, 2023 to November 7, 2023.

In accordance with the law, those who are entitled to delay the water and sewer payment date by thirty days

Those who were during this period as follows:

Those who served as a soldier, policeman, firefighter or prison guard (in certain facilities)
Work or volunteer for a full-time position in a rescue organization
Those who were missing, kidnapped or captured during the period
Those who lived on the eve of the beginning of the period in the settlement that was vacated due to the security situation
Those who were hospitalized for a period of at least seven days due to an injury from a hostile action
The spouse of each of those mentioned in sections 1-5 who is responsible for the charge together with him
Estate of a deceased person mentioned in sections 1-3, 5
A company that has at most five shareholders, if its shareholder is a person mentioned in sections: 1, 3-4 and he holds at least 50% of the means of control in it, or a registered partnership in which a person mentioned in sections: 1, 3-4 participates in the management of its business and controls – at least 50% of its assets; For this matter, "means of control" and "holding" – as defined in the Companies Law, 1999
This law applies, among other things, to the deferment of payments to a local authority and entities that perform a public function according to law.
